1 killed, 1 seriously injured in head-on crash
A head-on crash killed a 21-year-old woman and seriously injured another on Friday night, south of Montgomery.
Allison Mackie of Winthrop, was killed shortly after 9 p.m. when a vehicle collided head-on with her on Highway 99 in the area of Le Sueur County Road 140. According to the State Highway Patrol, Modesto Domingo, 24, of St. Peter, was traveling westbound in his 2000 Volkswagen Jetta when he crossed the centerline and struck Mackie traveling eastbound in her 1993 Acura Integra.
Reports indicate that alcohol was detected on Domingo who suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
No alcohol was detected on Mackie.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
