4th victim found in shooting, Sheriff ID's victims

A fourth person was found to have been shot at a party near Webster Saturday morning, June 11, and the Rice County Sheriff's Office has identified the four victims who were wounded in the incident.
At 2:58 a.m. Saturday, June 11, Rice County deputies were called to a home on the 4000 block of Elmore Ave. in Webster Township for sounds of gunshots. By the time deputies arrived at the scene, they had additional reports from Scott County that someone had been shot.
On arrival, deputies and officers located a female victim with a gunshot would to the upper torso. She was treated by Lonsdale Fire and Rescue and Northfield Ambulance personnel at the scene, and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Two other victims left the scene in a car to find a hospital. They were stopped near Highway 3 and 280th Street, and were taken by ambulance, also to HCMC. Both had gunshot wounds to the leg.
A fourth victim reportedly checked himself into a hospital in Burnsville later on Saturday. He had a gunshot wound to his lower torso. He was transferred to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The victims were named Sunday by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office. They are:
Heather Nery, 23, of Rochester
Anthony Shannon, 26, of Robbinsdale
Montez Brown, 24, of Minneapolis
Henry Brown, 45, of Brooklyn Park.
Shannon and Montez Brown were the two found in the car, while Henry Brown was the one who came into the Burnsville hospital.
All four victims were reported to be in stable condition on Sunday.
Authorities report that the large party had several hundred people in attendance, mostly young adults. According to a press release from Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn, a physical altercation occurred and then gunshots soon followed. Multiple gunshots were reportedly fired, Dunn said authorities searched a large area to collect evidence and to investigate.
“Our priorities are to locate the suspect(s) responsible for this dangerous incident so that no one else is a victim of such violence and to bring resolution for the victims,” Dunn said. “This would also give neighboring residence their feelings of safety and security back in their neighborhoods.”
A followup press release said that three vehicles are known to have gunshot damage and more than 20 spent shell casings were found at the scene.
“Our investigators are actively following up on information learned up to this point,” Dunn said.
Rice County had assistance from deputies from Scott County and Dakota County, along with police officers from Lonsdale, Northfields, New Prague and Faribault.
The sheriff’s office is requesting the assistance from attendees of the gathering or anyone from the general public who has information to assist in the investigation. They are asked to call 507-334-4391.
