70-year old woman arrested in Elysian bank robbery

A bank robbery in Elysian Wednesday, Dec. 15, ended with the arrests of two individuals for two different crimes.

According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Department, a call was received at approximately 12:52 p.m. that a robbery had just occurred at the Elysian Bank.

An elderly woman entered the bank and approached a bank teller saying she had a gun and wanted cash.

The teller gave the woman, later identified as Sandra Leanne Bathke, 70, of Janesville, an undisclosed amount of money.
