Aces blowout the Warriors

The annual Independence Day competition between the Lonsdale Aces and the Veseli Warriors was one sided this year as the Aces overwhelmed the Warriors on both Wednesday, July 3, and again Thursday, July 4. On Wednesday in Lonsdale, the home team rallied in the fourth inning, sending 13 batters to the plate. Pictured above is Paul Tisdel scoring on a sacrifice fly by Travis Scheffler –– the first of the eight runs put up that inning. After the seventh inning, the Aces were declared the winners by a score of 12-2. On Thursday, they continued their winning streak by beating the Warriors 11-8 at Veseli. (Lori Nickel Photo)
