Adeline S. Busch, 91
Adeline S. Busch, 91, a lifelong resident of St. Benedict and the New Prague area, died on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.
Adeline was born in Helena Township, Scott County, to John and Sophia (Pranke) Wolf on August 6, 1913. She attended St. Benedict School.
Arthur Busch and Adeline Wolf were married on October 23, 1934, at St. Benedict. She was a homemaker and was employed as a housekeeper at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She was a member of New Prague Playmates, Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid, New Prague Senior Citizens, CCW Mission Sewing and St. Wenceslaus Quilters.
Adeline Busch is survived by her children, Melvin (and Marilynne) Busch, Jordan; Diane (and Gerald) Preisen, Eden Prairie; Connie (and Donald) Litfin, Minnetonka; Denise (and Paul) Gandola, Olmsted Falls, OH; brothers, Leo (and Helen) Wolf, New Prague; George (and Delaine) Wolf, Jordan; sisters, Mathilda Pint, New Prague; Stella (and Robert) Javurek, New Prague; sister-in-law, Valeria Wolf, New Prague; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, on July 4, 1967; brothers and sisters, Michael Wolf, Christine Nytes, Ludwig Wolf and Edward (in childhood).
Funeral services were held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague on Monday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. The Rev. George Freeman officiated.
Pallbearers were Michael Litfin, Jarrod Preisen, Eric Busch, Duke Zurek, Wayne and Ian Chapman, and Andrew Robinson.
Interment was at St. Benedict Cemetery in Helena Township.
Visitation was at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wake prayers were said at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
