Albina Sticha, 97

Albina Sticha, 97, of Faribault and formerly of the Veseli area, died Friday June 2, 2006 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Albina was born August 25, 1908, in Montgomery Township, near Green Leaf Lake, to Joe and Anna (Mixa) Krocak. She attended country schools and later married Emil Sticha on October 12, 1927 at Veseli.

They farmed near Veseli, and she was a homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death in 1960. She has lived in the St. Lucas Care Center since 1999.

Albina is survived by her son, Dan Sticha, Veseli; daughter-in-law, Mary Sticha, Elko; grandchildren, Richard Sticha, Kilkenny, Connie Boysen, Burnsville, Marilyn (Kenneth) Vosejpka Lonsdale, and Ron (Jayne) Sticha, Savage.

Surviving her are also 14 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; sister, Elsie Grundhoffer, Montgomery; brothers, Joe Krocak, Seattle, WA, and Alvin Krocak, Faribault

She was preceded in death by husband, Emil in 1959; son, Richard; one grandson, Roger Sticha and four brothers and three sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli with Father George Lapensky officiating. Interment was held at the St. John's Cemetery in Veseli.

Visitation was from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague

Casket bearers were Richard Sticha, Ronnie Sticha, Jayne Sticha, Connie Boysen, Marilyn Vosejpka and Ken Vosejpka.
