Alice Eastman, 83
Alice A. Eastman, 83, of Le Sueur, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at the Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital Nursing Home in Le Sueur.
Born September 3, 1924, in Brookfield, IL, Alice was a daughter of Anton and Antonia (Siegler) Pavlicek. She grew up in Brookfield and moved to New Prague as a teenager, graduating from New Prague High School. Alice married Loren E. Eastman on October 22, 1945, in New Prague. She was a homemaker, did interior decorating and was a pastor's wife in four different churches across the country. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in New Prague. Alice was creative and artistic and was active in women's and children's groups as a pastor's wife.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Loren E. Eastman, Le Sueur; a son, Rev. Michael (Wanda) Eastman, Jackson, MI; a sister, Lydia Dvorak, New Prague; and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Ann Polsley.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Community Baptist Church in New Prague, with Rev. Gerald Stephens officiating.
Interment was at the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague.
Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements were with Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
