Alvin Wagner, 65
Alvin A. Wagner, 65, of Belle Plaine, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at his home.
Alvin was born in Sharon Township in Le Sueur County on March 19, 1942, to George P. and Evelyn (Christian) Wagner. On August 26, 1961, he married Carol A. Janda at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center.
He is survived by his wife; children, Patty A. (Jerrol) Hoffman, New Prague, Pam M. (Marty) Beckius, Jordan, Rick A. (Colleen) Wagner, Le Center, Todd A. (Lisa) Wagner, Belle Plaine, Jenny S. (Ken) Pint, New Prague, and Julie A. (Brian) Paur, New Prague; two brothers, Lyle (Harriet) Wagner, Henderson, and Harold (Shirley) Wagner, Le Sueur; one sister, Kathy Swecker, California; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sons, Daniel, Denis and David (in infancy).
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Bruzek Funeral Home, with Father Elgar Bockenfeld officiating. Pallbearers were Alvin's grandsons, Tim Widmer, Todd Widmer, Ryan Wagner, Eric Hoffman, Tim Hoffman and Bill Wagner. Private interment was at St. Mary's Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bruzek Funeral Home and from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
