American Education Week: Celebrating the American Dream

This week (Nov. 14-20) is American Education Week, a time to celebrate the country's public schools and the people who make them work. This year’s theme is “Celebrating the American Dream.”

In New Prague, in Minnesota and throughout the nation, public schools are the key to the American Dream for millions of children. Locally, our four public schools do a wonderful job of educating our children. We have excellent administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, cooks, custodians, clerical workers and other employees whose mission is to make every day a learning opportunity for our children. According to the National Education Association website, it is the goal of these people to keep our children safe and healthy
