Ardyce M. Turek, 89

Ardyce M. Turek, 89, of Montgomery, passed away on August 20, 2013, at Minnesota Valley Health Care in Le Sueur.
Ardyce was born on October 2, 1923, in Montgomery, to Edward and Agnes (McDonald) Kriz. She attended Montgomery High School and also St. Cloud Teachers College. She was united in marriage to Ben Turek on December 19, 1946, at the Catholic Parish House in Montgomery. She had been employed at Westerman Lumber as a secretary, Legion Club for 44 years, Ruhland’s Red Owl, a drug store, telephone company and Green Giant.
 
Ardyce enjoyed playing cards, reading, embroidery, travelling and especially spending time with family. She was a past member of Auxiliaries, St. John’s Sunday school teacher and Alter Guild.
 
Ardyce is survived by children John (Mary) Turek of Montgomery and Chuck (Nancy) Turek of LaValle, WI; brothers- and sisters-in-law; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben Turek; brother Clyde McDonald and grandchild Shawn (Shay’s twin brother).
 
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. Funeral services were also held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church in Montgomery. Burial was held at Ft. Snelling in Minneapolis.
