Beverly Shuck, 75

Beverly A. Shuck, 75, of New Prague, formerly of Sioux City, IA, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at the Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague. Beverly was born in Sioux City on May 18, 1937, a daughter of Oscar and Blanche (Den Hartog) Van Vick. She married Ronald “Bud” Shuck on February 27, 1958, in Dakota City, NE. She attended Central High School in Sioux City, was a grocery store clerk for 35 years, and was a member of the Sioux City Police Auxiliary. Through the years she made 20-plus trips to Disney World and the Florida beaches. Beverly moved to New Prague in 1992. She is survived by her husband; children Richard (Margaret) Shuck, Hinton, IA, and Pamela Meyer, New Prague; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters Carole Grote, New Prague, and Mildred (Richard) Groeneweg, Coto De Casa, Orange Co., CA. She was preceded in death by a grandson Jason Jeffords; and her parents. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m., at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with the Rev. Dr. Steven Trewartha officiating. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Bruzek Funeral Home.
