Board delays vote on budget adjustments

The New Prague Area School Board did not vote, as it had planned, on a list of 40 budget adjustments during its March 23 meeting.
When going over the agenda for the evening, board chair Bob Reed said they had talked at the previous meeting about voting on the package of cuts, funding shifts and fee increases that will save $1.02 million in the 2009-10 budget, but the executive committee decided during its meeting several days later that it would be premature.
It would be unusual to vote on a budget adjustment before we approve the full budget
