Board looks at superintendent goals for upcoming year

New Prague School Superintendent Tim Dittberner shared his goals for the 2016- 17 school year with members of the New Prague Area School Board during a workshop meeting Monday, Aug. 8.

Dittberner said the idea of setting goals came about through the superintendent search process in 2013, where a search firm met with four different groups to identify what the greatest challenges were that the district faced.

Those challenges include updating, maintaining and using technology, facility upgrades, addition, long term superintendent leadership, communication to all communities, maintaining a sound financial position and following up on strategic planning.

He talked about each of those challenges and how the district has met those challenges over the past three years.

Dittberner then listed the four goals that were set a year ago and how the district has done in meeting those goals.
