Boys run 6th at Eagan meet
The New Prague boys cross country team placed sixth of eight teams at the Dakota Classic Invitational at Eagan High School on Friday, Sept. 3.
The host Wildcats won the meet with 25 points, followed by Apple Valley (57), Lakeville South (76), Hill-Murray (108), Farming-ton (149), New Prague (151), Hastings (173) and Simley (207).
John Geiger was the top Trojan finisher. He placed 16th, in a time of 11 minutes, 12.7 seconds for the 3200 meter race. Zach Dietz was next for New Prague (25th, 11:24.7), followed by James Berg (34th, 11:40.9), Andrew Salaba (35th, 11:41.6), Jason Erickson (41st, 11:57.3), Andy Roach (42nd, 11:57.6) and Josh Dvorak (51st, 12:49.8).
Andrew Hunt and Carter Dorzinski were the top Trojans in the JV race, finishing 21st and 22nd respectively. New Prague finished sixth of eight teams in the JV meet.
