Bucs have mixed results at Holiday Classic

The WEM boys and girls basketball teams each played first round games at the Faribault Harry Brown's Holiday Classic Wednesday, Dec. 28. The boys edged Fridley, 65-64 behind 35 points from Zac Olson. The girls were defeated 43-36 by the host Falcons. MaeLea Harmon led WEM with nine points. The boys will face Faribault at 8 p.m. Dec. 29 in the championship at 8 p.m. The girls will play at 3 p.m. against Rockford on Dec. 29 for this place.
