Candidate forums are Monday
This year’s election is right around the corner, on Tuesday, Nov. 8. In Montgomery, there are races for seats on the Montgomery City Council and Tri-City United School Board. To give voters the chance to meet the candidates, forums for each government group will be held on Monday, Oct. 24.
City Council
A candidate forum for Montgomery City Council candidates will be held on Monday, Oct. 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall.
In this election season, there are two candidates for Mayor, John Grimm and Josh Gare. For the two seats on the city council, the race is on between incumbents Dennis Lambrecht, Bob Taraba and challenger Bob Forcelle.
Also up for election is Brad “Butch” Kubes for a special two-year council seat.
School Board
A School Board Candidate Forum will also be conducted on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (approximately) at the Tri-City United High School in the Band Room.
A separate forum will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 25 in the Lonsdale Library Conference Room starting at 7 p.m.
The candidates for the school board in this year’s election are Anne LaPierre Schroeder, Ashley Rosival, Cindy Flicek, Joe Schloesser, Josh Beulke, Kevin Huber, Krista Goettl, Michael Ream, and Rosalind Carson.
