Christmas Eve fire in Heidelberg

New Prague and Montgomery firefighters were on the scene of a house fire at the Brad Scharf home on 181st Ave. in Heidelberg Monday afternoon, Dec. 24. No one was home at the time of the fire, and the family dog, who tried to enter the house when firefighters opened the door, had to be rescued. Lisa Kaczor of North Ambulance leads the dog away from the house while firefighters work to put out the fire.
