City Council sets budget meeting for Nov. 30

The New Prague City Council will hold a special meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at New Prague City Hall to go over the city's proposed 2010 general fund budget.

The proposed budget for the year is approximately $3.7 million, which is a reduction of approximately 5.2 percent from the 2009 adopted budget.

The city is looking at ways to diversify its revenue, as there have been reductions in Local Government Aid from the state and the city's building permits. These are areas that will be discussed at Monday's meeting.
