'Code Red' situation in Elko New Market ended

A shots fired situation in Elko New Market came to an end when the suspect was taken into custody sometime around 2:10 p.m. Monday, July 11. 

Scott County dispatch called all units responding to the situation to a meeting for debriefing around 2:15 p.m. At 2:18 p.m., dispatch cancelled the "Code Red" situation in Elko New Market. 

A dispatcher confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody, and said a press release will be issued, possibly later this afternoon.
