Construction worker injured at Raven Stream Elementary

A worker was injured when falling 40 feet while working on the new Raven Stream Elementary School, on the west side of New Prague Tuesday afternoon.

The fall occurred approximately 1:45 p.m. New Prague Ambulance, New Prague Police and the New Prague Fire Department were called to the scene. The fire department was called in to help get the worker down from the upper floor, where he had fallen.

According to New Prague Police, the worker appeared to be in good condition, considering the fall. He was talking and alert, though he did appear to have a severe injury to his arm.

No other information was available. A call to Amcon Construction, construction manager for the project, referred us to the project manager. He had not returned a phone call before this edition of The Times went to press.
