Council deadlocked on Kolacky liquor license
The Montgomery City Council considered a request by the Montgomery Area Community Club (MACC) for a temporary liquor license for Kolacky Days at its meeting Monday, March 16, but a motion to approve was tied 2-2, and therefore failed.
As part of Kolacky Days, the MACC sponsors a beer garden in the park, requiring a temporary liquor license.
Voting in favor of granting the license were Councilmen McGuire and Mladek, while not supporting the motion were Mayor Jean Keogh and Councilman Bob Taraba. Councilman Tim Siebsen abstained from the vote, due to questions he had on legal issues.
