Dorothy “Dotty” Dvorak
Dorothy “Dotty” Dvorak, 84, of Montgomery, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 8 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with Celebration of Life following at 11:30 a.m., all being held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Dorothy was born on March 1, 1933, in New Prague to James Sr. and Mary (Cecka) Pasek. Dorothy attended school in New Prague. She was united in marriage to George “Sonny” Dvorak on April 23, 1953.
Dorothy spent many years employed at Holy Redeemer School as a cook. She was a member of the ladies VFW and spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren, which included many trips to Idaho. She also enjoyed time in her garden, and going to farmers markets and trying out the latest recipes.
Dorothy is survived by her children; George Jr. (Janita) Dvorak of St. Bonifacius, Jayne (Kent) Buck, Mary (special friend Jim Pettit) Stanke of Montgomery; grandchildren, Brianna Buck, Morgen Buck, Katie (Jeromy) Eotvos, Addison Stanke; great-grandchild, Carter Eotvos; brother, John (Lois) Pasek of Prior Lake.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George “Sonny” Dvorak, (Feb 25 2017); brother, Jim Pasek Jr.; sisters, Marion Speiker, and Elsie Pasek; granddaughter, Maranda Stanke; and son-in-law, Mike Stanke.
