Elko falls to Dundas in opener

Elko lost the opening game of a best-of-three series to Dundas, 5-3 Sunday, Aug. 4. The series is part of the Section 1B playoffs. The winner of the series will face either Red Wing or Miesville and play for seeding in Class B Super-Section playoffs, which are part of the State Amateur Baseball Tournament. Game 2 in the series is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, in Elko, with a third game, if needed, at Dundas Friday.
