ENM Council approves chickens
The Elko New Market City Council approved an amendment to its city ordinance that will allow residents to have chickens. The city’s Planning Commission and the council have been working on the proposal for several months. As part of the amendment there will be several requirements ranging from permits for the keeping of the animals to the placement of chicken coops to sanitation.
