ENM council discusses city snowplowing
While the actual snow plowing is (hopefully) over, the Elko New Market City Council discussed the topic at its Thursday, April 25, including the possibility of the city doing more of its own plowing.
Elko New Market currently contracts outs the majority of the snowplowing and related work, with city crews assisting. City Administrator Tom Terry and Public Works Superintendent Corey Schweich proposed to the council the possibility of the city taking over half of the snowplowing in 2014-15. They stated that it would result in the city saving money.
