ENM welcomes two new businesses

The Elko New Market Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new businesses with back to back ribbon cutting ceremonies on Thursday, Feb. 8. More than 20 people were on hand as Aspen Arbuckle, owner of Aspen in Summer Decor, and Tim Sadusky of Farmers Insurance – Tim Sadusky Agency cut ribbons in front of their businesses, which are right next door to each other.

Arbuckle began crafting two-and-a-half years ago, when she undertook the construction of a 9-foot dining room table from rustic boards. "I’ve always been crafty," said Arbuckle to the group gathered in her shop at 531 Main St. before the ceremony. Arbuckle, who lives in Elko New Market with her family, spent nights and weekends creating home decor items while working in the dental industry. In 2017, she decided to pursue her passion full-time. She quit her job and bought the building where her shop is. Her products include rustic signs, benches, trays, tables, blanket ladders; handmade crocheted items and greeting cards; decorative pillows; pet treats and more.

Sadusky, who also lives in Elko New Market with his family, had been active in the community a long time. He has more than 20 years of experience as an insurance agent. His business is located at 541 Main St and had been a daycare at one time. The building, which dates back to 1935, needed extensive renovations. He currently has three employees who are each fully licensed and look forward to helping area residents fulfill their insurance needs.

Chamber President Dawn Weitzel welcomed the businesses stating they will help strengthen the economy of the community. Members of the Elko New Market City Council also welcomed the two businesses and were glad to have them investing in the town.
