Farmers Market opens Saturday

The New Prague Farmers’ Market will open for the season Saturday, May 7.

The market will be open from 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays through the end of the season. It is located in the parking lot of the Strike Force Bowl, at Main Street and Second Ave. NW. The market will expand its hours to Wednesdays from 3-6 p.m. as more produce becomes available.

Jim Slinkard, market manager, says items likely to be available Saturday include perennials, spring bedding plants and planters, potted herbs, flowers and vegetables, honey and jelly, bird feeders and bird houses, rhubarb and asparagus and other early produce.
