Floor hockey team waits for seeding

The New Prague adapted floor hockey team will compete in a state play-in game next week as either a four or five seed.

New Prague, which includes players from Tri-City United, Le Sueur-Henderson, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools, finished the regular season tied for fourth with Dakota United in the South Division. Since New Prague and DU split their two meetings this season, the fourth seed will come down to a coin flip that will be held later this week.

If New Prague is the fourth seed, they will host a home game on Wednesday, March 8, with a spot in the state tournament on the line. If they are the fifth seed, they will be on the road for their play-in game.

The state tournament is March 17 and 18 at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
