Flora Meinke, 94
Flora E. Meinke, 94, of Webster, died on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at her home.
Flora Elsa Dressel was born on November 3, 1909, in Watertown, to Charles and Emma (Loehrke) Dressel.
She married Emil L. Meinke on June 27, 1942, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster. She was employed by the Webster Post Office and was a member of the LWML at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family.
Flora is survived by her husband, Emil Meinke; one daughter, Barbara (Orville) Schultz, Webster; one son, Gary Meinke, Northfield; five grandchildren, Lou Ann (Randy) Wagner, Ellen (Bradley) Schiell, Diane (Gregory) Novotny, Steven (Christine) Schultz, and Sandra (Michael) Kroyer; nine great-grandchildren, Brian, Megan and Amanda Wagner, Christopher and Sarah Schiell, Ashley Zachow, Hunter Novotny, Alexandra and Andrew Schultz; and one brother, Harold Dressel, Waconia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Clara Dressel, Elsie Seck and Dora Lange; and four brothers, Henry Dressel, Arthur Dressel, Rev. Oscar Dressel and Elmer Dresssel.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m on Monday, July 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster. Reverend Michael Salemink officiated.
Interment was at St. John’s Church Cemetery in Webster.
Visitation was at the Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault on Sunday, July 25, from 3 to 8 p.m. and also at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service.
