Four Bucs advance to State Track & Field Meet

WEM will have four athletes compete in the 2017 Class A State Track anf Field Meet June 9 and 10 at Hamline University. The 4 x 100-meter relay team of Hattie Peach, Mae Lea Harmon, Alexis Morsching, and Sammie Petry advanced after placing third Saturday, June 3 in the Section 2A Meet. Their time of 50.62 was .01 under the state qualifying standard. Petry is making her fourth trip in the pole vault, after winning that event with a height of 10-feet, 4-inches. Harmon advanced in the 100-meter dash for the second straight year, winning the event for a second straight time. She also will advance in the 200-meter dash after placing second.
