George Malecha, 73
George Paul Malecha, 73, of Elko, formerly of Lonsdale, passed away at 3 Links Care Center in Northfield on Friday, April 21, 2006.
He was born on June 28, 1932, in Erin Township to Albert and Ludmilla (Havel) Malecha.
George was employed as a cement finisher. He was a member of the Lonsdale American Legion.
George is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Mike (Jeri), and Albert (Joy) Malecha; stepchildren, Robert (Sue) Revier, Kathy Davis, Lynn Revier and Shelly (Gordon) Kroll; grandchildren, Ryan and Conner; 10 stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren; sisters, Lillian Tupy and Helen Novak; brothers, Albert (Mildred), Robert, Leonard (Jayne) and Roman (Darleen) Malecha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen; and brothers, Joseph and Stanley Malecha.
Visitation was held at White Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. on
Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 24, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shieldsville.
Interment was at St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery in Shieldsville with military honors by the Lonsdale American Legion Honor Guard.
