Girls earn fourth at True Team
The New Prague High School girls track and field team finished fourth at the Minnesota True team Class AA championships Saturday.
The Trojans had 330 points. Sartell won the championship with 394 points, followed by Mankato East with 379.5 and Hill-Murray 338.5.
New Prague had two first place finishes in the meet. Both were supplied by senior Katie Theisen. Theisen won the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 7 inches and the 300 hurdles in a time of 46.73 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Katie Theisen, Whitney Trecker, Kristin Busch and Becky Theisen finished second.
New Prague had several third place finishes, including Sara Gerold in the shot put, Busch in the triple jump and Becky Theisen in the 100 m. dash.
