Girls track wins at Holy Family; 9th at Lakeville

The New Prague Trojan girls track team competed in two meets last week, winning a four-team meet at Holy Family Catholic and placing ninth at the Lakeville North Megameet.

The Trojans were scheduled to compete at Annandale Tuesday, April 26, and will run at Hutchinson on Tuesday, May 3. They take part in the Orono Invitational on Thursday, May 5.

Holy Family Quad At Holy Family, the Trojans had 124.5 points, well ahead of second place Waconia, which had 94. Southwest Christian was third at 33.75 and Holy Family had 19.

The Trojans had eight firstplace finishes, including two with a pair of individual wins. Aidan McLoone won the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet, 1 inch and the 300 hurdles in 50.5 seconds. She was also part of the winning 4x200 meter relay team.

Randi Allar was also a double winner, taking the pole vault by clearing 9 feet and the high jump, leaping 4 feet, 10 inches.

DeLaney McLoone won the 100 meters in 13.28 and was also on the winning 4x200 team. Gianni Solis won the 1,600 meters in 6 minutes, 7.07 seconds and Tasha Bennet won the 800 meters in 2:32.7.

The 4x200 meter relay team of Delaney McLoone, Serena Thomas, Aidan McLoone and Makayla Shimek won in 1:52.56.

Second place finishers included Ally Shorter and Izzy Blanchard, tied in the pole vault, Shannon O’Rourke in the high jump, Ashley Shimek in the 100 hurdles, McKenzie Holgate in the 300 hurdles, Kate Chromy in the 800 and Aidan McLoone in the 200. Also finishing second were the 4x100 relay team of Olivia Simon, Allar, Ashley Shimek and Keegan Mulvihill and the 4x400 relay team of Holgate, Delaney McLoone, Elsie Hatlevig and Maria Berg.

Third place finishers included Lexi Kreutzian in the shot put, Jordan Anderson in the discus, Delaney McLoone in the long jump. Kaylyn Solheid in the triple jump, Berg in the 400, Alyssa Dvorak in the 300 hurdles, Abby Milinkovich in the 1,600 and Jenna Lambrecht in the 800.

Taking fourth were Jillisa Schoenbauer-shot put, Megan Vikla-discus, Lexi Isaacson-long jump, Makayla Shimek-triple jump, Ashley Shimek-high jump, Mulvihill- 100 hurdles, Kate Seymour- 300 hurdles Bethany Vochoska-3,200 .
