Golf board votes to review staffing at club
The New Prague Golf Board voted down a proposal to eliminate the club's general manager position on a 4-3 vote during a meeting Monday, Sept. 13.
At a meeting two weeks earlier, the board had voted 3-2 in favor of the same recommendation. That proposal was returned to the board by the city council for further study.
Later in the meeting the board unanimously voted in favor of two proposals, to ask the council to have Springsted, Inc., a consulting firm, do a review on the operations and staffing of the golf club, and to ask the council to make a recommendation on how the New Prague Golf Club can change its business model and what goals the council would like the board to attain.
