Gymnasts leap into new season with 2 wins

The New Prague High School gymnastics team finally got its season started last week, taking a pair of wins, against Breck and Farmington.

The Mound-Westonka match originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 6. The Trojans have one more match before the Christmas holiday. They are scheduled to face Red Wing at home on Thursday, Dec. 21. After that, they will be off until Thursday, Jan. 4, when they host Faribault.

Coaches spend a lot of time analyzing what went right and what went wrong following any competition. For coach Matt Shetka and assistant coach Doug Amundsen, it didn't take a lot of analysis after the Trojans' opener.
