Gymnasts top Lakeville North in opener

The Trojan girls gymnastics team got off to a belated start last week. After their December 4 meet at Breck was postponed due to snow, the Trojans faced off against Lakeville North on Friday, Dec. 7, and coach Matt Shetka's team came away with a convincing win over longtime rival coach Milan Mader's Panther squad.

The Trojans traveled to Faribault Tuesday, Dec. 11, and are scheduled to compete at Red Wing Thursday, Dec. 13. They host Prior Lake at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.

Trojans 137.975, Panthers 130.15

New Prague posted a 137.975 score in its opener, very impressive for the first meet of the year.
