Heavy snow makes for hazardous driving conditions

The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises no unnecessary travel in Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Marin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca and Watonwan counties due to heavy snow and reduced visibility. Numerous crashes and spin outs are occurring in portions of south central Minnesota.

No closures of interstate highways or other roads are anticipated at this time; however, motorists may encounter brief lane closures where crashes occur.

Mn/DOT snow plow operators are out in force and will continue to make highways safe.
