Highway reopens
Highway 13/19 on the east side of New Prague reopened to traffic Saturday morning, Nov. 3, after nearly five months of construction.
The road was closed June 11 as crews reconstructed the highway from Sunrise Avenue to Alton Avenue. The stretch of road from Sunrise to County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 37/10th Avenue was reopened in July, but the rest of the road remained closed as crews installed two roundabouts and a center island along the road.
Signal lights for the intersection of Highway 13/19 and CSAH 37/10th Avenue are expected to be delivered within the next week and will be installed within the next few weeks, however the road is expected to remain open during installation.
