Holy Angels, Chaska advance to semifinals

Two Missota Conference teams will be playing this weekend in the State Football semifinals at the Metrodome.

The Academy of Holy Angels defeated Kasson-Mantorville 21-14 Friday, Nov. 8, at East Ridge High School in Woodbury to advance to the Class AAAA semifinals. They will face DeLaSalle at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. The winner will take on either Delano or Hutchinson in the Prep Bowl at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29.

Meanwhile, Missota Conference champion Chaska defeated Andover 21-20 Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Edina Community Center. The Hawks will face Brainerd at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the semifinals. The winner will take on either St. Michael-Albertville or Owatonna at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
