Indians split two Region games

The Waterville Indians Amateur baseball team split a pair of games last week in the Region 4C Tournament held in Morriostown. The Indians defeated Minnesota Lake, 10-3, Saturday, August 5 and lost to Cannon Falls, 5-2, Sunday, August 6. Waterville will face Wells at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 in Cannon Falls. The loser is eliminated and the winner advances to the Class A State Tourney. Waterville would play at 4 p.m. Saturday if they win at 10 a.m. If they win that game they would play at 7 p.m. at Cannon Falls. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. in Cannon Falls. Check out the Aug. 10 edition of the LIFE/Enterprise for more on the Region Tourney.
