Jana Kaye Beets, 57
Jana Kaye Beets, 57, of Tonto Basin, Arizona passed away on Monday April 4th, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 7th, 2016 starting at 11:30 am at New Day Church in New Prague with Pastor Robert Vanderberg officiating. New Day Church is located at 1201 1st Street NE New Prague, MN 56071. In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made to one’s local school district.
Jana was born on September 19, 1958, in Okmulgee, OK to Jack and Jerry Beets. She attended Monument Valley High School and Northern Arizona University where she graduated with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education. In addition to teaching throughout Arizona, Jana also taught in Minnesota in both the Montgomery and New Prague school districts. Recently she retired from teaching after 35 years of service. In 1987, Jana married Thomas Klanchnik and had two daughters Jackie and Jessie. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, molding young minds, reading, and her three fur-babies. Jana will be missed by all who knew her.
She leaves her daughters, Jackie Klanchnik and Jessie Klanchnik; mother, Jerry Beets; brothers, Larry Beets and Johnny Begay; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Jana is preceded in death by her beloved father Jack Beets.
