Joseph R. Schoenbauer, 73
Joseph R. Schoenbauer, 73, of Belle Plaine, died on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at The Lutheran Home Hope Residence.
He was born to Joseph F. and Julia (Pivec) Schoenbauer in Helena Township, Scott County, on February 28, 1931. Joseph was raised in rural New Prague and lived at Valleyview in Jordan and Hope Residence in Belle Plaine after the death of his parents. He was employed as an assembly worker for New Options in Shakopee. Joe enjoyed bowling and going out for pizza.
Joseph is survived by one sister, Lorraine (Thomas) Barta, Jordan; two nephews, Thomas (Janice) Barta, Germany, Roger (Naomi) Taiwan; one niece, Carolyn (Dave) Wetterlin, Chanhassen; 15 grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph F. and Julia Schoenbauer.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. Rev. George Freeman officiated.
Pallbearers were Laddie Chlan, Larry Malecha, Donnie Sticha, Howard Christianson, Larry Pivec and Frank Simon.
Visitation was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bruzek Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in New Prague.
