Judy Pumper, 67

Judy Pumper, 67, lost her battle with cancer on November, 22nd 2016 at Northfield Hospital, surrounded by her family at her bedside.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 4th at the Lonsdale American Legion from 1 to 4 p.m.

Judy was born (with twin sister Joan) in Byron, MN to Chuck and Vi Blood on September 28th, 1949. She attended Byron country school and at age 12 moved to Dundas where she graduated from Northfield High School. In 1967 she married Tom Pumper, and was married for 29 years.

Judy had worked a variety for jobs starting out as a waitress at A & W, the Collegian Cafe and was also a candy striper at Northfield Hospital. Upon her marriage to Tom, she ran the family business, Pumper Construction. Her final job was at Faribault Harley Davidson where she had been employed since 2000.

Judy had 3 passions in life: family, animals (especially horses) and motorcycles — all 3 went hand in hand. In her younger years she traveled the country competing in various horse shows. Later in life she would travel similar routes, but this time on her Harley Davidson. Her home and heart were open to all that entered.

Judy is survived by soul mate Tom Kodada, her three sons Tracy Pumper of St. Paul, Dan Pumper of Dundas, Trevor (and Lisa) Pumper of Northfield, twin sister Joan (and Terry) Trinka of Faribault and Bonnie (and Rick) Sellers of Northfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Sean, Cassie, Mark, Logan and Max.

Judy is proceeded in death by her parents Chuck and Vi Blood and brother, Bill Blood.

A special thank you to the Staff at Northfield Hospital and their kindness and support during Judy’s final journey.
