New Prague High School’s Class of 2004 will graduate 232 on Friday...The New Prague Planning and Zoning Commission discussed a proposal for a new restaurant to be located along Main Street just west of New Prague Market Place...New Prague teachers Shirley Privratsky, Vivian Sutch and Diana Valentini are retiring at the end of the school year with a total of 100 years of teaching experience...Sophomore Kyle Bergstrom hurled a no-hitter against Faribault, struck out 10 batters and allowed just two base runners.

Amanda Blaschko and Christopher O’Dell gave the student addresses at the New Prague High School graduation ceremonies last week...All U.S. Post Offices will be closed Friday in observance of the National Day of Mourning in memory of the late President Ronald Reagan...After 14 years of helping various groups and organizations the New Prague Eagles Club 4253 will be disbanding...Juniors Kristin Busch, Dustin Simon, Katie Theisen and freshman Becky Theisen all qualified for the State Track and Field Meet.

Mike and Shari Eischens of New Prague added a new member to their family when they adopted Vladimir (Vlady) Thomas from Belarus... The Lonsdale City Council voted not to allow new construction in the latest phase of the Willow Creek addition until all utilities are in place...Thomas Terry was named the new city administrator for New Market...Teammates Katie Theisen and Kristin Busch finished second and fifth respectively in the triple jump at the State Class AA Girls Track and Field meet last weekend.

The New Prague Area Schools Board of Education approved a new three-year contract with Superintendent Dr. Frankie Poplau Monday...The New Prague City Council unanimously approved new water rates that will be assessed developers, not current customers...Tami Madsen, a daycare provider in New Prague, has been named Scott County daycare Provider of the Year...Missota All-Conference honors for spring sports went to 13 Trojan athletes: Britt Bohlke, Kristin Busch, Jessie Doig, Katie Gerdes, Kevin Kalina, Kate Kallal, Matt Pexa, Troy Pint, Dustin Simon, Josh Simon, Becky Theisen, Katie Theisen and Cathy Turner.
