Junior golf season concludes at NPGC
Junior golfers at the New Prague Golf Club concluded their organized golf season and junior lessons as of August 9. The season was a successful one, with juniors involved in a variety of programs at New Prague Golf Club.
Fifty-one juniors participated in the Early Bird beginner lessons, with sessions in May and June. Forty-five more took part in beginner lessons in July.
The New Prague Golf club held its annual Golf Academy with two sessions. There were 28 juniors participating.
Seventy-three juniors registered for the Monday Junior League this summer. Approximately 42 juniors played each week.
There were 12 juniors who played in the South Metro Travel League, five who played regularly in the Minnesota Golf Association program. New Prague Golf Club won the District and advanced to the Regional Tournament at Marshall Golf Club, where they placed third out of seven teams.
In addition, seven juniors played regularly on the PGA Jr. circuit.
Junior Golf Instructors for the summer included Gina Privratsky, Erik Garnass, Jeff Kuehn, Bob Brinkman and Dan Puls.
