Leo Wagner, 88

Leo Wagner 88, of Shakopee, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at St. Gertrude's Health Care Center in Shakopee.

Leo was born in Shakopee Feb. 28, 1922, to Frank and

Anna (Raser) Wagner. He married Evelyn Stejskal on June 4, 1947, in St. Patrick, Scott County. He was employed as a custodian at the Shakopee Area Catholic Schools prior to retirement. Leo was a veteran of WW II in the U.S. Army and was a member of Shakopee American Legion Post 2, a member of Shakopee Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4046 of Shakopee. He was also a longtime member of the Shakopee Veterans Memorial Unit.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Steve (Sue), Janice (Jim) Mobley, Larry (Diane), Rick (Barb); 10 grandchildren, Greg Wagner, Jackie Bjorklund, Ann Marie Breeggemann, Tricia Walberg, Janelle Anderson, Jennifer Weinberger, Jeanna Andrews, Angie Johnson, Kate and Allison Wagner; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Listrude.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wilma Lehnen, Jerome, June, Donald and John Wagner, Irene Trebiatowski, Ruth Kohman and Betty Karst.

Visitation was Monday, May 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 11, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shakopee. Officiating were Rev. Timothy Norris and Deacon James Pufahl.

Pallbearers included Dave, Zach, and Alex Breeggemann, Bob Weinberger, Pat Andrews, Shane Johnson, Jeff Bjorklund and Chad Walberg.

Interment was held at the Catholic Cemetery in Shakopee with honors provided by the Shakopee Veterans Memorial Unit.

Funeral arrangements were made through McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee.
