Local archers perform well at Nationals
The New Prague Archery Club finished its 2017 season May 13-14 at the National Archery in the Schools (NASP) National Tournament held in Louisville, KY.
More than 14,000 individual archers participated at the tournament, ranging from grades 3-12. The New Prague High School team put up a team score of 3,330 finishing 63rd out of 248 high school teams from across the United States.
Top scores for New Prague included Callie Schroeder – 284 finishing 28th out of 366 12th grade females; Brianna Franek – 283 finishing 25th out of 998 7th grade females; Dakota Skluzacek – 283 finishing 109th out of 458 12th grade males; Annika Meyers – 280 finishing 60th out of 366 12th grade females; Britlynn Franek – 279 finishing 41st out of 752 6th grade females and Parker Pint – 274 finishing 2nd out of 235 3rd graders; and 76th out of 2,321 elementary males. The club’s future is looking bright!
