Lonsdale city election is Nov. 5

 
The City of Lonsdale will hold its elections on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Long-time Mayor Tim Rud will be looking for another two-year term, and he faces opposition from Tim Kes. 
 
Meanwhile incumbent council members Joe Daleiden and Scott Pelava are up for election. Both are seeking their second four-year term. Daleiden had been appointed to his seat on the council prior to winning his first four-year term. 
 
All voters in Lonsdale will cast ballots at the Lonsdale City Hall, with those living in the New Prague Area School District receiving a ballot with both city and school district candidates listed. 
 
Absentee ballots are available until the day before the election. Lonsdale residents should contact the Rice County City Hall at 415 Central Ave. W or call 507-744-2327 to obtain an absentee ballot application or more information.
