MACC unveils Kolacky Day button
This year’s official Kolacky Days button features four familiar, smiling faces — those of the current Kolacky Days royalty Queen Lexy Malecha, First Princess Brianna Rutt, Second Princess Grace Krautkremer and Miss Congeniality Haley Dietz.
The design by Jessica Pumper was chosen out of ten button designs (up from seven the previous year) submitted last fall and announced by the Montgomery Area Community Club (MACC) during their membership drive last weekend.
MACC member Tom Washa said the voting process for this year’s button was the same as last year and included 195 MACC members. Washa said members were invited last November to vote on the winning design.
“This is the second year that we have opened the selection process to ALL (195 in total) members. Members were either invited to ask for a ballot via email or stop in before or during our MACC meeting in November. It’s one of the perks of being a MACC member,” Washa said.
