Margaret Stresnak, 82,

Margaret R. Stresnak, 82, of Shakopee, formerly of New Prague, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at St. Gertrude's Health Center in Shakopee.

A lifelong resident of the New Prague/ Jordan area, Margaret was born in New Prague on November 24, 1927, a daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Sipiera) Stehlik. She attended New Prague Public Elementary and High School, graduating with the class of 1947. She married Arthur Stresnak on November 6, 1946, in New Prague. Margaret was a homemaker and farm housewife, and was a member of the Womens Mission Circle at Community Baptist Church in New Prague.

She is survived by children Merlin Stresnak, New Prague, John Stresnak (and special friend Ordeen Braathen), Moundsview, Larry (Donna) Stresnak, Jordan, Sharon Stresnak, New Prague and Kenneth (Patty) Stresnak, New Prague; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Mamie Busch, Jordan; sisters-in-law Pat Stehlik, Milwaukee, WI, Dorothy Stehlik, Burnsville and Helen Stresnak, Blackduck; and brother-in-law Gilbert Krohn, Prior Lake.

She was preceded in death by her husband on January 9, 2002; a son and daughter in infancy; a granddaughter Saundra May Stresnak in infancy; her parents; and siblings Theresa Krohn, Joseph Stehlik and Francis Stehlik.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, at 11 a.m., at the New Prague Alliance Church in New Prague, with Rev. Steve O'Dell officiating.

Interment was at the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague. Pallbearers were sons Merlin, John, Larry and Ken Stresnak, and grandsons Steve and Matt Stresnak. Honorary pallbearer was daughter Sharon Stresnak.

Visitation was held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Prague Alliance Church.

Arrangements were with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
